PvE -> PvP Transfers

NOTE - Please read the thread, atleast the suggestion below this isn't another suggestionless 'gief pve-pvp now plz' thread

I know this issue has been brought up many times and usually it's only counter argument is that we should stop complaining and just reroll, thing is I personally (and probably like alot of others) don't mind getting ganked while doing that but the whole gearing up thing is the biggest cockblock, gathering all reputations again and ofcourse losing all other things you've gathered on this character.

Lately (read: since TBC) people have been complaining that world pvp has been destroyed, granted mainly because of flying mounts but also the community on most PvP servers just can't be bothered to go out and find people to PvP with, if you enable transfers from PvE to PvP this community will only get bigger and world PvP will become a bit more alive.

And clearly Blizzard do care about world PvP activity because they are bringing out a whole zone in the expansion which will PvP enable you, but can you imagine how deserted this place would be on PvE servers. I'm not sure what all their plans are but if it has guards it will fail, if it doesn;t have BG/Arena masters it will fail, if flying mounts are available in there, it will fail. So I really don't want to put my trust too much in that.

You might wonder why I rolled on a PvE server from the start well, I was quite clueless and didn't really knew the difference between the servers and what my main goal would be once I hit 60 and now I've got this far with my character I don't want to throw it all away just so I could do some decent world pvp.

So all in all good things if you do enable this:

    More satisfied players can do what they really like in the game
    World PvP becomes more active
    More money to Blizzard (because face it loads of people are dying for this, I reckon some people might even pay more for this sort of transfer)

Negative sides if this happens
    Economics might change drasticly because it's easier to farm stuff on PvE servers (Then again now that the daily cap is raised to 25 is gold really an issue?)

Would love to hear the opinions from people that play on PvP servers because I don't think I really got all your points sofar.

edit: Oh and please don't flame because I hope Blizzard will look at it, not lock it :P

EDIT TWO:

Possible Solution:

Because Blizzard themselfs strongly believes that the levelling progress on a PvP server is much harder (even tho pointed out wrong by several people that did level on a PvP server, I (even though I stole the idea) would like to suggest that you can overwrite a character.

For example I've got this gnome on Kilrogg - PvE server and I want to go to Daggerspine - PvP, then I should level a gnome warrior on Daggerspine and once it hits the same level as my other warrior I can overwrite/replace it, that way we did go through the 'harsh' aspect that is called levelling on a PvP server and Blizzard receives more money from transfers (can be used for 2v2 arena servers teheee)
-A requirement for making your character eligable to transfer/overwrite would be something like it has to be atleast 3 months old.

That way both sides will be happy because then we've both gone through the levelling part and we won't have to do all the instance grinds and reputation grinds over, and focus what we really do want in the game - World PvP
